The international beauty trade event, Cosmoprof Asia 2023, took place in Hong Kong from November 14 to 17. Marking its 26th iteration, the exhibition showcased over 2,400 exhibitors hailing from 44 countries and regions. In conjunction with the trade fair, Cosmoprof Asia released a report featuring the latest beauty trends, collated from online submissions made by the event’s exhibitors.
Developed in partnership with Beautystreams, a beauty trend-forecasting firm, the resulting document, named the CosmoTrends Report, acts as a vital guide to emerging trends. This year’s report spotlights five of the most intriguing trends and innovations within the beauty sector.
Full Cell Ahead

Epidermal growth factors (EGFs) are polypeptides that accelerate healing and skin repair. Sourced from human, animal, or plant origins, EGF can be incorporated into formulations to address signs of aging and sun damage, and it is also beneficial for scalp treatments.
Exo-Max

Exosomes are nano-sized bioactive components released by cells to assist in cellular regeneration. Their diminutive size allows them to effectively deliver other active ingredients deep into the skin. Exosomes can be obtained from stem cells, including plant-derived versions from rose and centella. They are utilized in products aimed at addressing common skin concerns such as dark spots, wrinkles, and acne.
All Clear!

Who wouldn’t want flawless skin? Hyperpigmentation, blemishes, acne scars, and enlarged pores rank among the primary skin concerns for beauty enthusiasts. Ingredients like EGF, peptides, and tranexamic acid are currently being harnessed in product formulations designed to help users achieve a clear and radiant complexion.
Temp Setters

To enhance the self-care routine, brands are integrating heating and cooling effects into their offerings. Popular products include self-heating eye masks and body patches aimed at boosting blood circulation, as well as cooling masks and gels designed to calm the skin.
Tech, Stretched

By employing cutting-edge technologies, beauty devices are expanding their reach beyond facial care to pamper the body, scalp, and other regions. Notable innovations include LED treatments for hands, IPL hair removal tools, and scalp massagers.
