As the saying goes, change is the only constant. However, my hair seems to challenge that notion. Regardless of the sweltering humidity in summer or the frigid dryness of winter, my hair remains perpetually dull and frizzy. To make matters worse, the dry, chilly air has left my scalp feeling weak and parched, making it susceptible to dandruff.
With thick and highly porous hair that dries out quickly and tends to frizz, I’ve been on a quest for the ideal hair care products. During my social media browsing, I came across the hair care line from the Korean brand JULYME and decided to try out three of their products to see if they could tame my brittle and damaged mane.
Curious if JULYME’s products delivered results for me? Keep reading to find out!
Boasting over 70% natural ingredients, the Perfume Hair Shampoo gently cleanses while leaving hair soft, fragrant, and hydrated. It’s formulated with antioxidant-rich plant extracts like houttuynia cordata, green tea leaf, and centella asiatica to nurture and soothe damaged strands. Additionally, the shampoo contains dexpanthenol, salicylic acid, and niacinamide to address hair loss. The Perfume Hair Shampoo comes in seven delightful scents, with the Urban Rose version drawing inspiration from Chanel’s Mademoiselle fragrance.
Usage Instructions:
Apply to wet hair, lather, and rinse thoroughly.

My Thoughts:
Given my hair’s tendency to frizz and break, finding a suitable shampoo has been a challenge. Regardless of whether I let my hair air dry or use a blow dryer, it’s often left feeling devoid of moisture. I was pleasantly surprised by how soft and well-hydrated my strands felt after using JULYME’s Perfume Hair Shampoo.
The shampoo, dispensed from a pump bottle, had a clear gel consistency that transformed into a luxurious marshmallow-like lather when massaged into my scalp and hair. After several uses, I noticed my brittle hair tips became noticeably softer. The Urban Rose scent is a beautifully sophisticated floral aroma that I adore!

The Perfume Hair Essence offers nourishment and protection without leaving hair greasy. It features coconut oil to soften brittle strands and a glycerin complex to control frizz. Camellia japonica and peony extracts further hydrate and nourish, giving hair a glossy and healthier appearance. With a lotion-like texture, it absorbs quickly and serves as a heat protectant against damage from styling tools. The Full Bloom scent is inspired by Lanvin’s Eclat D’arpege fragrance.
Usage Instructions:
Apply a moderate amount to towel-dried hair and reapply during the day as needed for a fresh look.
My Thoughts:
Heat styling tools are notorious for drying out my hair, yet I find myself using a hair dryer daily to save time. I was eager to experiment with the hair essence, hoping it would shield my hair from heat damage. This was my first experience using a hair essence, and I quickly realized how beneficial it could be for my hair care routine.
I concentrated the essence on the mid-lengths to ends of my hair, and it instantly felt bouncy and soft. However, after a few hours, my hair began to revert to its frizzy state. For those with a similar hair type, I recommend occasional reapplications throughout the day to maintain silky locks.
After a week of use, I am highly impressed with how nourished and strengthened my coarse strands have become. The Full Bloom fragrance is a subtle fruity scent that is perfect for everyday wear.
The Non-Wash Hair Pack contains over 78% naturally derived ingredients, including heartleaf extract, coconut oil, and glycerin complex, making it effective in repairing damaged strands and nourishing tresses for healthy, silky hair. Its gel cream texture absorbs quickly into hair. The Sunset Freesia scent is inspired by Jo Malone’s English Pear and Freesia perfume.
Usage Instructions:
Apply a moderate amount to towel-dried hair without rinsing.

My Thoughts:
Don’t be deterred by the thicker consistency of the Non-Wash Hair Pack; while it may feel a bit sticky at first, that sensation dissipates once your hair dries.
I enjoyed using this hair pack, even if it may come off as heavy to some. After letting my hair air-dry, it appeared less poofy and frizzy, resulting in smoother, tangle-free locks.
The Verdict
After using JULYME’s Perfume Hair Shampoo, Perfume Hair Essence, and Perfume Non-Wash Hair Pack for a week, I’m delighted to report that my hair has escaped its dull and frizzy fate! I’ve observed that my hair now withstands the rough winds and stuffy conditions of my daily commute more effectively. Plus, I’ve been pleased to see my hair tips appear silkier and smoother.
I alternated using the hair pack and essence on different days to assess how well each product nourished my fragile hair. Both products significantly improved the health of my hair, but I found the most remarkable results with the Non-Wash Hair Pack—my stubbornly thick locks felt tamer and more hydrated after each application. For the hair essence, I needed to reapply it throughout the day to retain my soft and bouncy hair.
If you’re in search of hair care products that also provide pleasant fragrances—because who doesn’t enjoy smelling as fresh as a blooming garden?—I wholeheartedly recommend trying JULYME’s perfumed hair care line!
