In today’s fast-paced world, many individuals often struggle to maintain a healthy, balanced diet filled with an abundance of fruits and vegetables. For numerous consumers, fast food has become one of the easiest and most convenient choices. Consequently, I continually search for alternative methods to enhance my nutritional intake, with superfood powders and herbal teas ranking among my top preferences.
This is why I was excited to come across NOTHING BETTER, a Korean health and wellness brand that offers natural and organic supplements, focusing on the quality and purity of its ingredients. Eager to explore the brand’s diverse range of health-oriented products, I chose to try out the Inner Cleanse Detox Powder line (including Sweet Pumpkin, Hibiscus, and Barley Grass versions) as well as the Luv Tea (Luv Pumpkin and Luv Red Bean varieties).

Inner Cleanse Detox Powder
NOTHING BETTER’s Inner Cleanse Detox Powder utilizes the nurturing properties of natural plant ingredients like pumpkin, hibiscus, and barley grass to aid in detoxifying the body by removing free radicals and metabolic waste. Each detox powder consists of 100% plant-based ingredients, free from additives, preservatives, flavorings, or sugars. It can be mixed with either still or carbonated water, as well as other beverages such as milk and yogurt. The powder is conveniently packaged in individual packets, making it ideal for travel and busy lifestyles.

Inner Cleanse Sweet Pumpkin Powder
Ingredients: 100% Korean sweet pumpkin
Nutrients: Beta-carotene, potassium, iron, folic acid, Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Vitamin E
Benefits: Pumpkin powder is rich in Vitamin A, crucial for supporting eye and immune health. Additionally, it is a great source of fiber, promoting digestive wellness. Antioxidants like beta-carotene help mitigate oxidative stress, while other vital nutrients in pumpkin, including Vitamins B, C, and E, bolster the immune system and promote overall health.
My impression: This powder has a delicate pumpkin flavor and aroma, which can be described as slightly woody. Although it is somewhat bland when taken alone and challenging to dissolve in water, it complements creamy mixtures like milk and yogurt well, making it a great addition to lattes, oatmeal, or baked goods.
Inner Cleanse Hibiscus Powder
Ingredients: 100% Egyptian hibiscus
Nutrients: Calcium, magnesium, citric acid, hibiscus acid, Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin E
Benefits: Hibiscus is loaded with potent antioxidants that help shield the body from oxidative damage caused by free radicals. Other nutrients derived from hibiscus, such as calcium and Vitamins A, B1, and E, support various bodily functions, from bone health (thanks to calcium) to energy metabolism (Vitamin B1).
My impression: Flavor-wise, this was my least favorite of the three powders. It’s quite sour for my palate; however, fans of tangy beverages like cranberry or lemon juice may enjoy the Inner Cleanse Hibiscus Powder. It’s more enjoyable and refreshing when blended with iced sparkling water. Similar to the pumpkin powder, the Inner Cleanse Hibiscus Powder struggled to dissolve fully, which resulted in sediment.

Inner Cleanse Barley Grass Powder
Ingredients: 100% Korean barley grass
Nutrients: Zinc, iron, calcium, magnesium, saponarin, Vitamin A, Vitamin B3, Vitamin C, Vitamin K
Benefits: Barley grass is rich in Vitamins A and C, which contribute to immune support and skin health. It’s also high in dietary fiber, assisting digestion. Antioxidants such as saponarin compounds help combat free radical damage, while the powder provides essential minerals like zinc, iron, and calcium to support healthy bones, muscles, and red blood cell functions.
My impression: This vibrant green powder not only resembles matcha in color but has a similar flavor profile. If you’re not fond of its grassy, earthy taste by itself, it blends well into smoothies and juices. I particularly enjoyed this drink after lunch when I sought a cleansing bitterness reminiscent of green tea but without the caffeine.
Apart from the plant powders, NOTHING BETTER also provides herbal tea bags. From the Luv Tea series, I sampled the Luv Pumpkin and Luv Red Bean flavors. These tea bags are made from 100% plant ingredients and feature biodegradable filter bags. The ingredients undergo a low-temperature drying process to maintain their full range of nutrients and prevent flavor loss. They are free from caffeine, additives, or flavorings, ensuring a natural taste. Additionally, the Luv Tea bags are certified kosher.
To brew, steep a tea bag in 500ml of hot water for one minute, or in 500ml to 1L of cold water for three minutes.
Luv Pumpkin
Ingredients: 100% aged pumpkin
Benefits: Pumpkin is known for its beta-carotene content, which enhances eye health, and helps with weight management. Its potassium content aids in regulating blood pressure.
My impression: The Luv Pumpkin tea, made from 100% dehydrated pumpkin, has a pronounced pumpkin aroma. The tea offers a smooth, slightly savory taste that isn’t overly rich. After enjoying it in the morning, I found it helpful in reducing water retention and minimizing facial puffiness. Its warm, nutty profile was ideal for chilly mornings.

Luv Red Bean
Ingredients: 35% adzuki bean, 25% adlay, 25% burdock, and 15% beet
Benefits: Red bean supports digestive health and helps regulate sugar levels, while adlay is beneficial for reducing blood lipid and glucose levels. Additionally, burdock root aids in alleviating inflammation, and beet is helpful for overall digestive wellness and various bodily functions.
My impression: The Luv Red Bean tea is light, subtle, and enjoyable. The roasted adlay flavor predominates, giving it a resemblance to barley tea. I found it effective at reducing water weight.
The Verdict
Overall, I appreciated both the Inner Cleanse Detox Powder and the Luv Tea. Besides their nutrient-rich content, the plant powders and tea bags also contributed to my daily hydration. Each drink added a vibrant burst of color to my diet, and their subtle, earthy flavors were just right as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up or as a substitute for caffeinated teas.
While health drinks are a convenient means to consume essential nutrients, they don’t always taste as appealing as they appear. The three varieties of Inner Cleanse Detox Powder generally offered a pleasant taste. Each provided a concentrated dose of nutrients beneficial to my overall health, including an increase in fiber intake for regular bowel movements. I also value the clean ingredient list, free from additives, preservatives, or fillers. If you’re on a weight-loss journey, these low-calorie, low-fat, nutrient-dense supplement powders can serve as a healthful alternative to sugary sodas, coffees, or smoothies. One drawback is that they don’t dissolve well in water, necessitating frequent stirring to break up any sediments.
Both the Luv Pumpkin and Luv Red Bean tea bags were fragrant and delightful, whether brewed hot or cold. I enjoy having either type of tea in the morning for a refreshing start to my day and in the evening for a soothing drink. While a ten-day trial may be too short to ascertain their long-term health benefits, I did notice a significant improvement in both my hydration levels and digestion.
