Trying Out Meditherapy’s Wrinkle-Fit Mask Set and Needle – THE Sugarblossomdiary

Typically, my expectations for sheet masks are quite low. As long as they aren’t overly thick, drippy, or irritating, they usually meet my skin-care needs. I once leaned towards sheet masks with richer essences, believing they provided more nourishment. However, over time, I’ve transitioned to lighter, airier sheet masks with essences that absorb easily, leaving my face feeling refreshed rather than overly wet after use.

Curious about Meditherapy’s Wrinkle-Fit Mask Set, I decided to give it a try, particularly due to its unique gauze-like structure, which I had never encountered before. Instead of a traditional essence, this mask employs a hydrogel mesh design infused with hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid for a convenient, drip-free application. Since wrinkles are a concern of mine, this anti-aging mask seemed ideal. The Wrinkle-Fit Mask Set is also offered as a bundle with Meditherapy’s Wrinkle-Fit Needle, a massage roller designed to enhance product absorption and reduce puffiness by encouraging lymphatic drainage and blood circulation. Let’s see how this combination works for my skin!

What it is:
This box set contains seven individually packaged mesh sheet masks made from soft elastic yarns designed to embrace the face. These yarns are enriched with moisturizing and firming agents, including hydrolyzed collagen, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate, and Volufiline, along with nine types of peptides, tocopherol, and adenosine to enhance skin elasticity. The masks also incorporate soothing extracts such as camellia japonica flower, centella asiatica, houttuynia cordata, portulaca oleracea, tea tree leaf, parsley, and mentha aquatica. Additionally, glycerin, allantoin, and hydrogenated lecithin are included for hydration. Note that these masks contain denatured alcohol and fragrance, making them unsuitable for sensitive skin.

For application, place the mask on a cleansed and toned face for 10 to 20 minutes, using it two to three times a week with the Wrinkle-Fit Needle.

My take:
While I’ve used hydrogel masks previously, the innovative mesh design of the Wrinkle-Fit Mask uniquely blends aspects of both hydrogel and sheet masks. Hydrogel masks are primarily made of hydrogel (sometimes with a fine mesh support), but these gauze-like masks from Meditherapy feature much thicker yarns with an almost invisible hydrogel layer. A common drawback of hydrogel masks is their tendency to slip off easily. In contrast, the Wrinkle-Fit Mask felt incredibly lightweight and adhered snugly without blocking my vision. I experienced minimal dripping during use. The only downside to the Wrinkle-Fit Mask was its fit; the nose and chin areas were a bit too short for my face, and the eye holes were larger than I’d prefer (I have smaller eyes), leaving some skin exposed around my eye area.

Approximately 20 minutes after applying the mask, the hydrogel had fully absorbed into my skin, resulting in a soft, plump, and refreshed appearance. My face felt completely dry post-use, and the gauze-like mask dried out entirely upon removal, making disposal easy.

What it is:
This robust metal massage roller resembles a meat tenderizer hammer and contains 144 “needles” (or sharp points, to be precise) designed to cool the skin, massage facial muscles, facilitate product absorption, diminish the appearance of wrinkles, contour the face, and alleviate puffiness. Unlike microneedle rollers, the Wrinkle-Fit Needle massager is not meant to penetrate the skin for collagen stimulation, and should simply serve as a massage tool. The roller dimensions are 128 x 38mm, weighing 105g.

To use, roll outward from the center of the face, around the eye area, and along the nasal folds, then roll it upward along the jawline and neck.

My take:
Upon first handling the roller, I noticed its substantial weight. I’m unsure of the metal’s exact composition, but it doesn’t seem prone to rusting. The ergonomic matte handle feels good but isn’t as robust as I had anticipated during use. The roller connects to the handle via a central axis and two large screws on either end, allowing the metal teeth design to rotate smoothly for massaging the face.

The roller operates like any standard massage roller; the metal felt pleasantly cool on my skin without any stinging sensations. Concerning product absorption, I didn’t find a notable difference between using the mask alone or with the roller, though the tool provided a cooling and therapeutic feel on my face. Initially, I was concerned that the mask’s gauze might get caught in the roller’s teeth, but thankfully, that was not the case. After use, rinsing the roller with water and allowing it to air dry was a straightforward process.

The Verdict

I paired Meditherapy’s Wrinkle-Fit Mask with the Wrinkle-Fit Needle roller. Though I’m not particularly fond of massage rollers and could easily forgo the Wrinkle-Fit Needle, which feels somewhat heavy, the Wrinkle-Fit Mask is a definite favorite of mine. I adore its lightness on my skin and appreciate how well it adheres without causing drips or blocking my vision, allowing me to multitask and get things done while wearing the mask. Furthermore, the gauze-like design appears to be less wasteful compared to a full mask made of cotton fabric.
